Help with WordPress, Drupal, and general website support and management

If your website runs on WordPress, Drupal, or another content management system, you’ll know that updates and maintenance are part of the deal. Plugins need updating, themes need checking after every release, and every now and then something breaks that wasn’t broken yesterday. We handle all of that so you don’t have to.

Keeping your CMS up to date isn’t just about having the latest features. It’s about security. Outdated software is one of the most common ways websites get compromised, and we take that seriously. We scan for malware, check for vulnerabilities, and make sure your site is as secure as it can be.

Frequently asked questions

Website Support

What does website support actually include?

Our website support covers a wide range of tasks to keep your site running smoothly. This includes installing software updates, fixing bugs and errors, making content changes like adding new pages or updating photos, monitoring your site for security threats, and replacing outdated or abandoned plugins with secure alternatives. We also check that your site still looks and works properly after every update. Think of it as having a technical team on hand whenever you need one, without the cost of hiring someone full time.

How much does website support cost in Swindon?

Our pay-as-you-go website support starts at £50 per month for one hour of support time. If you’d prefer a package that includes hosting as well, our combined hosting and support plan is £70 per month and includes 30 minutes of support time along with fully managed hosting. Both options run on three month rolling agreements with no long-term contracts. We’re always happy to have a chat about what would work best for your situation.

Do I need website support if I already have hosting?

Hosting keeps your website online, but it doesn’t keep it maintained. Without regular support, your site’s software can become outdated, which leaves it vulnerable to security threats and compatibility issues. Website support covers the ongoing care your site needs, things like applying updates, fixing problems, making changes to your content, and keeping everything running securely. Many of our clients come to us after experiencing problems that could have been avoided with regular maintenance.

Can you support a website you didn't build?

Yes, absolutely. We’re happy to take on the support of websites that were built by other designers or agencies. We’ll take a look at how your site is set up, let you know if there are any issues that need addressing, and then get to work looking after it for you. We work with WordPress, Drupal, and other content management systems, so whatever your site is built on, there’s a good chance we can help.

How quickly do you respond to website support requests?

We’re available by phone and email during office hours, weekdays from 9am to 4.30pm. Most support requests are acknowledged the same day, and straightforward tasks like content updates or minor fixes are usually completed within 24 to 48 hours. If something urgent comes up, like your site going down or a security issue, we’ll prioritise it and keep you updated while we work on getting it resolved.

What content management systems do you support?

We primarily support WordPress, which powers the vast majority of the websites we look after. We also work with Drupal and can assist with other CMS platforms depending on the setup. For WordPress sites, our support packages include access to Elementor Pro and a suite of professional plugins, saving you over £500 a year in licence fees. If your site runs on something we haven’t mentioned, get in touch and we’ll let you know what we can do.

Will updating my website break anything?

It can happen, and that’s exactly why having professional support matters. When WordPress, Drupal, or any CMS releases an update, there’s always a small chance it won’t play nicely with your existing theme or plugins. We test updates carefully and check that everything still works properly afterwards. If something does go wrong, we fix it. Our hosting packages include daily backups, so we can quickly restore your site to a working state if an update causes any issues.

What happens if my website gets hacked?

If your site is compromised, we’ll act quickly to identify the problem, clean up any malicious code, and get your site back online securely. We also investigate how the breach happened and put measures in place to prevent it from happening again. As part of our ongoing support, we regularly scan your site for malware and vulnerabilities, and we keep your software up to date to reduce the risk of attacks in the first place. Prevention is always better than cure, and that’s a big part of what our support service is about.

Can you help me add new features to my website?

Yes, we can. Whether you want to add a contact form, a booking system, a gallery, an online shop, or any other functionality, we can advise on the best approach and get it set up for you. For WordPress sites, there are thousands of plugins available, and we’ll recommend the ones that are well maintained, secure, and right for what you need. If you’re not sure what’s possible, just ask. We’re always happy to talk through your options and suggest what might work best for your business.

Why should I choose a local website support company in Swindon?

Working with a local team means you’re dealing with real people who understand your business and your market. We’re based in Swindon’s Old Town and we’ve been supporting local businesses since 2006. You can pick up the phone and speak to someone who knows your site, pop in for a meeting if you’d like to, and trust that your website is being looked after by people who are genuinely invested in helping your business succeed. We’re not a faceless support desk, we’re a small team who take pride in the work we do.
